BOWFIRE BREAKS FROM SOLD-OUT U.S. TOUR FOR EXCLUSIVE CANADIAN DATES
TORONTO, ON: They have enjoyed sold-out concerts across the United States and now Bowfire a Canadian virtuoso success story is returning home to Canadian for two shows only at Niagara's Fallsview. Bowfire: The Total String Experience" Virtuosity in the Hands of Masters is headed by Bowfire's Musical Director and Juno Award winner Lenny Solomon. Bowfire combines many styles of music and dance with top notch Canadian musicians. Formed in 2000, Bowfire made its debut performance at Expo 2000 following two southern Ontario workshop performances in Mississauga and in Kitchener and since then have been touring across the United States to sold out houses and rave reviews.
"Until now, there hasn't been time to return to Canada to perform this tour" says Lenny Solomon, Musical Director for Bowfire. The ensemble made their debut in New York City in 2001 and embarked on their first U.S. tour the next year, followed by sold out performances in Asia. Bowfire is a musical theatrical experience that combines one show-stopping hit after another in a fast paced theatrical staged production incorporating step dancers, fiddlers and virtuoso string players.
Bowfire has continually proven itself to be a "must see" event everywhere with the finest lineup of fiddle and violin virtuosi ever assembled on one stage. The cast includes Canadians Stéphane Allard, Stephanie Cadman, Shane Cook, Bogdan Djukic, George Gao, Ray Legere, Jon Pilatzke, Lara St. John, Kelli Trottier and Richard Wood. The show takes audiences on a musical journey that moves seamlessly from Jazz, Classical, Bluegrass, Celtic, Rock, Gypsy, World, Texas Swing and Ottawa Valley and Cape Breton styles. It includes George Gao, virtuoso master of the Chinese ehru.

Bowfire will be performed in the Avalon Ballroom on Thursday, April 6 and Friday, April 7 at 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. both evenings.
